This one day training course will be an intensive day outlining everything that you will need to do or think about in order to establish a voluntary-sector consortium.

In many areas, public authorities are awarding large contracts, often requiring providers to work in partnership to deliver multiple and complex outcomes. Voluntary organisations have responded to this by setting up different types of consortia.

Neil Coulson is a consultant at NCVO. He has supported/advised on the development of over 100 third sector consortia nationally. He specialises in supporting the sector to grow its role within public service delivery. Collectively, the consortia he has worked with have gone on to secure hundreds of millions of pounds in public sector contracts.

In 2007 he was commissioned by UnLtd, the national foundation for social entrepreneurs, to write their sustainability toolkit, ‘Built to Last’, which has been used by social entrepreneurs nationally and internationally. He also supports organisations to explore social investment, having worked on scores of investment proposals and delivered numerous investment readiness masterclasses across the country.

Lev Pedro is NCVO’s Pubic Services Senior Officer.
